We are excited to hear that you are interested in writing for The Scholastica!
The first step is to email our editor Kayla Slusser at ks71476p@pace.edu
Here are the guidelines (these rules are not hard and fast, don’t let them stop you from submitting something you’re proud with!):
- All submissions must be around a minimum of 200 words and include 1 photo—unless you are doing something with unique form (e.g. video, poetry, artwork, photography, and more).
- Submissions may come in any form and cover any topic, as long as the content is in some way relevant to the Honors College, Pace, or to the experiences and work of an Honors College student. Some examples of articles include class reviews, personal essays about incredible (or terrible) internships, interviews with faculty, essays you submitted to class that you are proud of , etc.—all will be considered for review. If you would like to write a reflection on a recent Honors event, make sure it’s fresh (within a couple weeks of the event)!
- We at the Honors College hope to develop The Scholastica as a showcase for both the unique insights and the excellent writing skills of students within the Honors College. Please proofread and edit your work before submitting for review!
- Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, so there are no deadlines for submissions!
- Please send all submissions to our editor Kayla Slusser at ks71476p@pace.edu for review!
