It’s Showtime! Beetlejuice the Musical, the Musical, the Musical

This past Sunday, October 16th, twenty Honors students attended a matinee showing of Beetlejuice on Broadway at the Marquis Theater. As is typical of Honors Broadway events, students travelled to the city by train and were free to spend time in Manhattan before and after the show shopping, eating, and enjoying the fall weather. Prior to arriving at the theater, some students visited a small nearby bakery called Schmackary’s to try their Beetlejuice-themed cookies called “Cookies & SCREAM”.

Beetlejuice tells the story of a teenage girl forced to move in to a new home after her mother passes away, the story of a demon who just wants to be seen, and the story of a recently deceased couple who really want their house back. Unfortunately, Beetlejuice’s Broadway run will becoming to an end in early January next year, but I think this show is one everyone will remember! Students had an amazing view from the mezzanine and even got to move into empty seats closer to the stage during the show’s intermission!

It’s safe to say that the twenty lucky Honors students who managed to get tickets had an amazing time at the show and look forward to attending more events like this!
