Pace ‘Honor’ College takes on the Yankees

Last Saturday, the Honors College filled up the Pace shuttle to head down to watch the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. After walking the ramps and stairs up to the seats, the honors students watched the Yankees battle the Cleveland Indians.

After a slow 4 innings with only 1 home run for the Indians, the Yankees faltered and let the Indians sneak in 7 home runs in the 5th inning. The Yankees then let the Indians get 2 more in the 6th, making the score before the 7th inning 10-0.

The Yankees came back and got a total of 3 home runs in the remainder of the game, with a home run from Stanton and a 2 run home run from Voit. The final score of the game was 11-3 with the Cleveland Indians taking the game.

In between the innings, the Honors College got to see their name on the screen, but with an interesting twist. Instead of Pace Honors College, it read Pace Honor College, which sparked laughter from the honors student section. Even though the Yankees lost, the Honors College had a blast watching them play.
